Vignt deux

We we're suppose to wake up early today and leave the house at ten but of course that didn't happen and we woke up at 1030

We got dressed and left the house

And drove an couple hours to Pepes house in Quevy 

Which is a sort of suburb of Lille 

I watched oitnb on the way there and got a major headache 

When we got there all of Damien's family was there and we had to kiss EVERYBODY hello 

We went in and sat down and had some lady fingers and champagne 

And then went to the garden

Pepe has a giant unpicked cherry tree in his backyard

So we all went out there and picked a couple of buckets

After we cleaned them we went out to eat at this restaurant a few minutes away

Our food took forever to get but was definitely worth the wait 

I got a Bavette which is a steak with a side of pasta 

The portions were huge and it was all so delicious 

We all finished eating and the younger people went outside to watch the parade that was happening after Awhile we went back in because it was so hot and everybody was ready to go

Once pepe went outside he decided that he wanted to stay and watch the rest of the play which was probably another 2 hours 

There is no compromising with that man 

We got I've cream and the carnival was finally over

We drove back to the house and pepe wouldn't get out of the car because he wanted to go to a bar 

But we told him it was closed and just went inside and had champagne 

Alise and I went back outside to pick more cherries and then eventually everyone was helping 

The better cherries were at the top so eventually we were climbing this giant tree 

We sat outside for a couple hours and then ordered a ton of fries from a place on the corner 

Fries in France are 5x greasier than any fries I've ever had 

So dinner was pretty much fries and cherries 

After we helped clean up we went hope 

It was close to midnight when we finally got home 

So we all showered and went to bed

left the house at 630
our train was at 642
change for tickets
took the 5 train and transferred to the 8 line
then walked a little bit til we saw the Eiffel tower
we sat down and ate our baguette nutella sandwiches we brought and milk

walked a really long rime until we got to the modern art museum
upstairs and downstairs
we walked fashion museum but it was closed
we started walking to the arc

but it was not really a ysl museum but a building that ysl owned and there was this african exhibit
but it wasnt that interesting so we just looked outside
look around for a cafe

We had to wake up extremely early

It almost killed us

We had to go help set up for Alex, ivy's son's, birthday party

We all were wearing white tops and black pants and had diary of a wimpy Kid characters faces taped onto sticks

We were actually so cute

I actually brought my laptop with me so I could work on writing these but no wifi and I'm extremely lazy and add

It was also Father's Day so I was planning on making my dad a slide show of photos we have together

But turns out there is a total of like only 7 so yeah that wouldn't really work 

We got there and we helped decorate the backyard with pirate things 

We also hid coins around the yard for a scavenger hunt 

Then people were starting to arrive and we kind of got bored  

So we sat on the couch and pretended to rap and write songs and then watching playhouse Disney for 3 hours 

We ate lunch and then went out side to play some form of crazy football tennis game with a girl we met named Cece

We went in and had some drinks and then decided (very late decision) to watch a movie 

James bond

We only got through 10monites

juin treize

alise and i wake up early everyday and play the game "dont wake up katherine"

we feel bad because she really doesnt need to be up that early 

and then when she wakes up she cant fall back asleep and kinda has nothing

to do for some of the day

we started biking to my french class at 9

and then got kinda lost and ended up there at 945 

and then they told us we were at the wrong place

there is another building with the same name but on the other side of the city

so then we biked to that place and got there obviously late for class

and enrolled and left

we went to a small little bakery and picked up pastries and bread 

then we went to this small cafe on the corner and were hit on/harassed by these muslim men that tried to sit at our table with us 

it was gross but i kinda yelled at them so we good

then we came back home and june went school

and yang and i googled places to explore

then we got on our bikes and tried to direct our way to this big modern art museum but almost took

our bikes onto the highway

we finally got to fivre which is a neighborhood where my french classes are at

the i asked this man at the bodega if the museum was nearby and he sent us around the corner

we didnt bike to far til we hit this really small strange art exhibit

we went inside and there was only a man and lady working

it was this really interesting lobby with painting right on the wall that looked like banksy

then it led into a giant open room with all this demonic artwork 

it was the most beautiful place i have ever been to

we stayed there for a while and tried to sneak into the basement and almost got caught 

and then we went to the library next door

we were in there for 10 minutes until we realized we dont know how to read french

then we spent a good half hour trying to find our way back home

we got to the center and realized it was only 2 so we locked up our bikes and walked to the center 

we got some ice cream/sorbet and some macaroons and sat at a little table outside
it took us like 20 minute to finish our ice cream but im pretty sure we sat and talked at that table for 3 and half hours
we eventually started to freak out about the strange tan line we were getting and got our bikes and went near the house where all the boutiques are and parked our bikes and walked down the streets
we went into this perfect little secondhand shop
and there was a beautiful boy who worked there and was staring at us shop
and then came to ask if we wanted anything
but of course he was too beautiful for us to speak
so there goes my dumbass self
we went to pretty much every store on the block
and then went home around 8
we ate dinner showered and went to bed

juin douze

woke up early
ate some cereal and watched june and alise leave for school
damien took sophie and anaelle to school and came back
and we left early so we could walk slowly
we got to the cooking class 10 minutes early
i met the head chef lady and she brought me back to the kitchen
more people started coming in so we all washed out  hands and putting our hair in these hat thingies
there was about 10 of us and we were cooking for 60 people
also everyone in there only spoke french so yeah that was a small bump
we were making cucumber salad, chicken riz, and strawberry crumble
we did A LOT of cutting and  talking and mixing
after a couple of hours we took a cooffee break
and btw france has the best coffee in the world
it is small strong and delicious
we also had some cake with our cofee and it was so cute
we made everything and then we started setting up the table
and i learned how to properly set a table
there was a guy who was extermely nice and he made sure
i was learning all these new french words
when we were done cooking we all cheers to a cup of champagne and started serving food
june came halfway through dinner and we left to go to the wazziem market
this is a huge market that happens every tuesday thursday and sunday
we bought some fabric and a turkish burrito thing
then i went to the wazziem school for fashion
in class i made a fabric with the material i just bought
then june picked me up from class late
and we headed back to the house
we met katherine and ate lunch
then alise katherine and i walked to the movie theater and watched xmen
which was fantastic
then we came home and june was cutting damiens hair so i let her cut mine
(i really want to cut my hair really short)
then we showered and went to bed

juin onze

we woke up super late
and then became really unproductive
we kinda just sat and watched french tv til noon
then june came home and made us pasta and fries
and alex and ivy came over for lunch
then june went back to work for a meeting and we finished eating and got ready
when she came back we packed up the car and headed to brussels
we drove and hour and got to the beach and it was kinda cold
the tide was really low so we had to walk pretty frickin far from where we put our blanket down
to where the water was
we stopped in all these little river and looked at crabs and snails
and then ran in the water went like a mile into the ocean before the water was to our necks
we kinda got in trouble for that a then dug a ginormous hole in the sand
it filled with water and then we quit
we went back and collected seashells and watched sophie build a sandcastle
then we pack up aand walked along the boardwalk
we went to go eat at this pizza restaurant where sophie fell down the stairs
then we left and got in the car and drove back
showered then went to bed

we woke up to alise leaving for school and started to get ready
alise came back because her teacher wasnt there and we all went out for breakfast
we walked around for awhile and then sat down at this sandwhich breakfast place
it was very young looking and was decorated with graffiti on the inside
we sat outside and look at the menu and realized it was pretty expensive
so we kinda just ran out of the place and went to the place across the street
it was this like cafeteria looking place called so good
we got coffee and pastries and salad
and then sat outside and ate
it started pouring but we were under n umbrella so we waited it out for another hour
then we started walking around and checking out stores on the way to alises school
we went to this beautiful tea shop and a bunch of boutiques
then we dropped off alise and went to euralille which is a giant mall
every clothing store in there is perfect and im going poor
then we had to go home because i had alphabetation
and we had to run home in the rain plus we got lost
kinda running late i went to class to find out that my teacher was still sick so
they might not have the class for awhile
i went home and katherine and i biked back to euralille
and did some more shopping
we made it through the entire mall and went to get lunch
it was around 4 and we went to a small cafe called Francescas
and got crepes and waffles
we walked back and sat on the stair of the opera theater and ate
we stayed there for a few hours people watching and talking
and then once again went back to euralille to go and play in makeup stores
we biked back home and caught june and alise picking up sophie
we got inside and then did insanity and ate dinner and went to bed

juin neuf

Germany day 2

sophie puked in the morning so thats how we woke up
we checked out at 11 and got to play in this free photo booth
all the stores in germany were closed because it was a religious holiday
so that was not fun
especially since there was a giant primark that we couldnt shop in
we walked around aimlessly looking for breakfat
AND ENDED UP EATING MCDONALDS
kinda grossed out
but then we got froyo! which isnt very popular in europe
then it started to rain and we kinda just hid in a curtain store doorway
we sat and ate our froyo
people thought we were homeless
and then a spider came and i missed stepping on it and it attacked all of us

and that is how we died in germany

we went to the gothic church which was extraordinary
the outside is so delicate and detailed and the inside is so colorful
we go to lite csamdels and then we left
we headed to this weird bech thing on the side of a river
we jumped into the water fully clothed
and spend hours collecting rocks and seashells
also finding giant rocks to make a chair that ended up really nicely
then we sun tanned
and napped in the grass field
then we drove home
and got caught in a horrific storm
but got home around 10
and then watched my sisters keeper and went to bed

juin huit

germany day one

we had a long trip there
we drove for about 2 hours to get to belgium and had lunch in brussels
we walked around a giant market in the street
shopped for fabrics and cheap dollar stuff
then we ate at a simple pasta restaurant

we continued our drive to germany and took MANY pit stops
it took about 3ish more hours but we got to our hotel (hostel)
now none of us knew the language'
german is actually really scary
alot of drunk men
especially since the pride parade was going on
our room was pretty small
but thats how everything is im europe
we walked around the city til around 10 and then went to go eat at a italian restaurant
really fancy and really cheap
a bird pooped on our table though, hilarious
then we asked for hot oil (spicy oil) for our pizza
and the waiter came back with a boiling cup of oil that he microwaved to make hot oil
after we walked around a little more and partied with people celebrating pride day
we got back to our hotel around 1 and decided it was a good idea to climb out our window on to the roof and then we just partied on the roof
we showered and then went to bed

juin sept

woke up EARLY
my god
to the sound of aunty june yelling at alise to get up and go to school
fun
went downstairs and ate some granola bars and watched aunty june do intensity
then we drove to brussels in belgium and i learned about the great war in belgium
we were running really late but when we walked in there katherine was just walking out
we accidentally took a 30 minute detour around the french speaking part of brussels
we finally got home and alise got home from school at noon
we ate pasta and pizza for lunch
then got ready and walked aroun rue pietuné
which is a shopping street where cars are not allowed to drive
we stopped in pretty much every store
then we walked further to the museum and ran into the gay pride festival that was going on
we sat by the fountain and watched for a while
then we walked back and bought crepes and ice cream
we ran into sophie on our walk home and walked into the park instead
we sat in the park castle for an hour and just talked
it was shady there so we kinda didnt want to move
we went back home and fixed the bikes and then went to fish concept
it was only a block away and it was the weirdest experience ever
it was like a bajillion little kisses on your feet
(alises fish were very lazy so we switched a couple times)
we  stopped and bought a merveiux cake before we got home at my favorite place and there was a line out the door
we got home and had dinner and ate cake and then went out to bike
we biked through the streets of Lille then through a giant forest
the back of the forest was this weird ancient military base
we pretty much biked around the entire thing and then stopped at this funny exercise place
trying everythihng was hilarious
we biked further and further until we crossed into a different city which was lambersart
it was a cute little edward scissorhands neighborhood
then we went to the city garden with giant potted plants
we biked along the entire side river and crossed a dozen bridges
it was already around 11pm
we started heading home but instead we took the city path
lots of yelling from cars and from people
and we finally got home around 1130
shower and then sleep

juin six

woke up at 10
and showered and ate breakfast
ivy came over and we ate pad thai for lunch
then i walked to la maison quartier de vieux lille for a classe de couture
which didnt happen because the teacher was sick
so i walked back and sat by the window and finally discovered wifi on my phone
and pretty much ate my weight in dark chocolate and snapchatted all day
aunty june picked my up and we picked up alise from school
we then went to EuraLille which is a giant mall full of beautiful stores
and of course i bought everything.
THERE WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BOY I HAVE EVER SEEN THERE
so close yet so far
then we went home and ate japanese pancakes
and went to bed

i woke up at noon

me and alice walked around and walked to her favorite kebab place all
we walked back to annaelle's school
ate lunch on the stairs
damien picked me up to walk to wazziem couture class
walked through the market
made a bag a learned french
picked up
rode on the back of a bike home
through the gypsy neighborhood
stopped at a cheap clothing store
stopped at salvation army
came home
went to sign up at alises school
picked up bread
came home

this didnt end up being our last friday adventure

they thought i was leaving that week 

we actually hung out again on a monday 

we walked to downtown

and bought mega slushies from 7/11

then we sat at potbellies and talked about life

im gonna miss them

 soooo much better than stan's across the street

 except they were still knida gross
